A Morning Prayer for Surrender
What if the thing you need to do today is simply stop trying so hard?
God, I surrender this day before it starts. My agenda, my expectations, my need to control outcomes — I lay it all down. Do what You want with these twenty-four hours. Rearrange my schedule. Interrupt my plans. I am Yours before I am anything else today.
A surrendered day in God's hands is more productive than a controlled day in yours. Amen.
When to pray this
Surrender is not giving up; it is stopping the exhausting work of controlling what was never yours to control. Most of us have to do it repeatedly about the same thing.
