You've been white-knuckling control all day — it's time to let go.
God, I confess I've been trying to manage everything myself and I'm exhausted. I surrender my plans, my outcomes, and my need to control. Take the wheel completely. I trust You more than I trust my own ability to figure this out. My hands are open.
Open hands receive more than clenched fists ever will — surrender is strength tonight. Amen.
When to pray this
Surrender is not giving up; it is stopping the exhausting work of controlling what was never yours to control. Most of us have to do it repeatedly about the same thing.
