Bedtime Prayer

A Bedtime Prayer for Anxiety

If tonight feels heavy and the silence is loud, you are not alone.

God, my chest is tight and my mind won't stop replaying everything. I lay every anxious thought at Your feet right now. Replace this worry with Your presence. Remind me that tomorrow is already in Your hands. Let me sleep knowing You are awake and watching over me.

The silence isn't empty — it's filled with a God who never sleeps. You are held tonight. Amen.

When to pray this

Anxiety is not a lack of faith. It is a body doing what a body does under load, and it usually arrives before you have consciously thought anything at all. This prayer is short on purpose — when your chest is tight, you do not need paragraphs, you need somewhere to put the weight. If anxiety is steadily shrinking your life, please also talk to a doctor or counselor.
