A Morning Prayer for Anxiety
The knot in your stomach before the day even starts — God sees it and He cares.
God, anxiety met me before my alarm did. My chest is tight with things that haven't even happened yet. Interrupt this spiral with Your truth. You are in tomorrow already and You say it's going to be okay. Help me stay present in this moment instead of drowning in what-ifs.
Anxiety predicts a future that doesn't exist — God holds the one that does. Breathe. Amen.
When to pray this
Anxiety is not a lack of faith. It is a body doing what a body does under load, and it usually arrives before you have consciously thought anything at all. This prayer is short on purpose — when your chest is tight, you do not need paragraphs, you need somewhere to put the weight. If anxiety is steadily shrinking your life, please also talk to a doctor or counselor.
