A Morning Prayer for Fear
Fear wants to write today's story for you — don't give it the pen.
God, I woke up afraid. Afraid of failing. Afraid of being seen. Afraid of what today might bring. But I refuse to let fear be my compass. You are bigger than every scenario my mind invents. Walk ahead of me into this day and make the scary things small.
Fear shrinks in the light — and you carry the Light of the world inside you. Go boldly. Amen.
When to pray this
Fear narrows everything. It shrinks your options down to the worst one and then insists that is the realistic view. Naming the specific fear out loud — not fear in general, the actual one — is most of what this prayer is for.
