A Bedtime Prayer for Forgiveness
The person you need to forgive tonight might be the one staring back in the mirror.
God, I've been harder on myself than anyone else. I replay my failures on a loop and punish myself endlessly. Tonight, help me receive Your forgiveness for real. Not just in my head but in my bones. I am not my past. I am not my worst decision. I am forgiven.
If God has let it go, you have permission to let it go too. Forgive yourself tonight. Amen.
When to pray this
Forgiveness is not saying it did not matter, and it is not always reconciliation — sometimes it is releasing a debt you were never going to collect anyway. It is also rarely finished in one sitting. You may have to pray this more than once about the same person, and that is normal.
