A Morning Prayer for Freedom
Today you walk out of a prison you've been living in far too long.
God, I've been held captive by shame, people-pleasing, and old versions of myself. Today I declare freedom. Break the agreement I've made with bondage. Cut every rope of guilt. I am no longer a prisoner — I am Your free child. Today I live like it.
Freedom was purchased for you a long time ago — today you finally walk through the gate. Amen.
When to pray this
Some chains are circumstances and some are patterns you have carried so long they feel like personality. Freedom usually comes in stages rather than all at once, and each stage is worth asking for.
