A Bedtime Prayer for Temptation
The urge is strong tonight — but you are stronger with God in your corner.
God, nighttime is when temptation gets loudest. The pull is real and my resistance is low. Be my strength in this weak moment. Redirect my thoughts to what is true and good. I don't want momentary relief that costs me long-term peace. Hold me steady tonight.
Temptation peaks in the dark — but so does God's power. You'll wake up glad you held on. Amen.
When to pray this
Temptation is strongest when you are tired, alone, or already discouraged — it is patient and it waits for those conditions. Pray in advance of the moment rather than only inside it, and tell one trustworthy person.
