A Prayer for Family
The family member you're frustrated with right now? They're fighting a battle you know nothing about.
God, give me compassion for my family today. The ones who push my buttons. The ones who don't understand me. The ones I've written off. Soften my heart toward them. Help me see them through Your eyes instead of through my wounds. Family is messy but it's mine.
Before you react to family today, remember — God is working on them the same way He's working on you. Amen.
When to pray this
Families are where we are most known and therefore most easily wounded. The same people who can steady you can undo you in one sentence. Pray for yours — including the members who are hardest to pray for, who are usually the ones who need it.
