A Prayer for Contentment
The grass isn't greener on the other side — it's greener where you water it.
God, I keep imagining a different life would make me happier. A different city, a different job, a different relationship. But teach me to cultivate what You've already planted in my soil. Let me stop envying other people's seasons and start investing in my own. This life is enough.
Stop window-shopping for someone else's life — water what God planted in yours. Amen.
When to pray this
Contentment is not the same as settling, and it is not pretending you want less than you do. It is the ability to receive what is actually in your hands today without the constant background hum of not-enough. That takes practice, and it usually has to be re-learned every season.
